Dear backers,
Apologies for the lack of updates. Like the majority of small TTRPG publishers, we've had a turbulent 2025 thus far, but we're finally making inroads on projects, and I'm finally returning to full time game design.
What is the current status of the project? The Crew Player rules are complete and the Rival Player section is nearly there. We have hired Alex Rybitski (who worked on our other RPG Cryptid Creeks) to co-design and write the remaining Asteroids with us. Alex is also the game's editor, so having him involved now is really helpful.
Kat is working on the remaining Benefactors, while Ramona finishes the art for their company logos. Once we have the completed text, Alex Connolly will be illustrating a couple of additional character pieces, and then we'll be ready for layout. Unfortunately Ennio had to leave the project due to scheduling, but we have secured the services of Luna P.

Back on Course!

Dear backers,
Huge apologies for the lack of updates since the campaign wrapped. To be fully transparent, the fulfilment on one of our previous projects took a lot more time, energy and money to fulfil than we had anticipated due to rising costs and tariffs pretty much everywhere. Combined with some rather difficult family issues, this meant that my wife and I were forced to make tough decisions on what to prioritise first (such are the trials running a small business when it’s just the two of you!)
Thankfully the fulfilment of the previous project has been fully sorted now, and we have learnt some valuable lessons in the process! So the good news is that, with help from friends, colleagues and customers, we are now back in a great position and able to dedicate the proper time to Argo-0 and make it a game of the highest standard.
This means the project will be pushed back to be fulfilled at the beginning of July. Looking ahead, Hatchlings will be slowing down and working to consolidate our established IPs and begin a series of project collaborations and profit shares (such as GAST and more in 2026).

Dear backers,
Apologies for the infrequent updates. The Hatchlings family were away for the whole of the Christmas period, and as expected, we've been dealing with a lengthy fulfilment process for Cryptid Creeks. Despite these delays, we're deep into production on Argo-0, and have a meeting with Alex Connolly to establish the remaining art, and with JC Darcy to begin on the asteroids you'll be exploring.
Next week, I'll be setting up the BackerKit pledge manager and sending out your surveys. These will include any VAT and shipping charges.
I'll update you all after the surveys go out to explain what remains to complete on the project.

We’re delighted to have funded Argo-0 thanks to your pledges and a whole lot of community word-of-mouth. Once the funds are cleared, we’ll be starting work on the remaining rules and adding more of Alex’s stunning illustrations.
